Applique work or the applique embroidery designs as one may call it are a growing sensation all over the world. But those not familiar to the appliqué embroidery might say what is it actually? During placement the machine is given instructions about the actual fabric on which appliqué is to be done during cutting lines the appliqué cut downs are placed, during tack down the cloth is sewn using run stitch or satin stitch or reverse stitch creating beautiful designs, during frame out the instructions are already set to trim down the embroidery in tack down phase.

As digitizing flooded the market there was an increasing demand of applique designs for embroidery machines, as now designers had a tool they needed designs which opened employment options for artists and they had the opportunity to work and merchants began buying appliqué designs that were compatible with the machines and for appliqué designing. Hand appliqué designing is still being done in some areas but after the advent of digitizing services its demand in the market has decreased as it is a quite slow process and is also expensive to get done.
